Intended to help facilitators prepare for and provide parenting workshops about childrearing in First Nations families, this guidebook includes information on contemporary and traditional parenting styles and approaches, ceremonies, guidance for responding to children's needs and behaviours and ensuring their safety and security, and management of stress, among other topics. It also shares teachings from First Nations in Ontario about parenting and information about the impact of the Residential School system on parenting in First Nations communities.
