Rapid Review: What factors may help protect Indigenous peoples and communities in Canada and internationally from the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts?
The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated pervasive socio-economic and health inequities, creating additional challenges for Indigenous peoples and communities in Canada and around the world. Indigenous people and communities are responding to COVID-19 using experience, practices, knowledges and assets to provide protection from the pandemic and its impacts.
Produced as part of the COVID-19 Rapid Evidence Service, this rapid review identifies, appraises, and summarizes emerging evidence to support decision making. It includes evidence available up to October 8, 2020, that addresses the following question: what factors may help protect Indigenous peoples and communities in Canada and internationally from the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts?
