The author aims to fill a research gap on the integration of Indigenous Knowledge systems and Western science in socio-ecological health by assessing changes to ecosystem health in the Salt Creek Basin, using a two-eyed seeing framework. The author concludes that each of the two types of knowledge systems provide unique information about ecosystem health in the Basin, showing that a two-eyed seeing approach can lead to a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of health and long-term change.
