In this article, the authors demonstrate the utility of using Woods' ethical elements of cultural safety as a lens for nurses to examine their relational practice and systemic factors that affect their ability to provide culturally safe care in their interactions with Indigenous people. Data from this study indicate that nurses must "engage reflexively with a relational ethic of care and social justice dimensions in order to deliver culturally safe care" (abstract).
