The authors argue that Indigenous definitions of health are needed to develop effective climate adaptation and health strategies. These definitions incorporate the need to connect individual and community health to the health of 'country', a dimension of health that is currently overlooked in health policies and could be detrimental to the health and well-being of Indigenous people living in remote communities.
