In this article, the authors detail findings from quantitative and qualitative Indigenous research, combined with geospatial methodologies of the Amskapi Piikani, to create the Amskapi Piikani Nation's first well-being index. The index is grounded in cultural values and informed by traditional Indigenous and Western knowledges, and encompasses areas of human health, agriculture and food sovereignty, cultural systems, social and educational lifeways, environmental stewardship, governance, economics, and land tenure.
