The authors aimed to characterize drinking water collection and storage practices, identify potential risk factors for water contamination, and examine possible associations between drinking water contamination and self-reported acute gastrointestinal illness (AGI) among Inuit living in Rigolet, Labrador. They found no water-related risk factors that were significantly associated with AGI, and suggested that interventions at the household level might be helping to minimize potential exposure to waterborne pathogens.
