Utilizing data from homelessness enumeration surveys conducted by the District of Nipissing, Ontario in 2018, 2020, and 2021, the authors describe trends and socio-demographic variations in reasons for homelessness, barriers to housing, and nature of homelessness before, during, and after the pandemic. While associations between homelessness and Indigenous status were not explicitly discussed, nearly half of the homeless population in the district identified as Indigenous, making findings relevant for this population.
