This cross-sectional study aimed to examine trends in mercury, lead, and cadmium exposure in Inuit adults in the 14 communities of Nunavik, as well as identify sources of exposure. The study found important decreases in the exposure of adults to these contaminants; however, blood cadmium concentrations remained high, underscoring the need for intensive tobacco smoking prevention campaigns in this population.
