SAGE
The author aims to elucidate the relationships between climate change and Indigenous health and the potential for climate change responses at global, national, and local levels to inflict harm on Indigenous Peoples and undermine their rights. The author argues that because climate-related health impacts for Indigenous Peoples cannot be understood and addressed without examining the broader context of colonial oppression, marginalization, and disposession, health promotion must engage in a process of decolonization to avoid perpetuating inequities.
