The authors undertake a scoping review to understand how Indigenous Peoples are affected by resource development. They utilize a realist perspective to identify the pathways by which resource extraction can impact health, then situate their findings within a historical context of extractive activities in Canada and Indigenous health ontologies to provide implications for future resource governance.
