The authors present a synthesis of themes from a systematic review of published literature on the inclusion of multiple and diverse knowledge systems in integrated monitoring and climate-health surveillance. They conclude that there must be an equitable balance between scientific, Indigenous and local knowledge systems in integrated monitoring and surveillance system processes.
