The authors examined 12 years of data from 47 First Nation community water systems to identify systems that were having difficulties in meeting sampling frequency or regulatory guidelines with respect to concentrations of lead, manganese, and arsenic. Their analysis demonstrated the need for greater monitoring and updated sampling procedures to more accurately characterize the levels of these contaminants in First Nations water systems.
