Drawing from data colected from the 2007 and 2008 International Polar Year Inuit Health Survey, this study aimed to enhance understanding of the effect of selenium against mercury on cardiovascular diseases. The study provides evidence that selenium may provide protection against mercury on cardiovascular disease outcomes.
