The authors consider the effects of the proposed Trans Mountain oil pipeline expansion for the health and food sovereignty of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. They highlight the cumulative impacts of bioaccumulating chemical toxins in shellfish and climate change, and argue that the environmental impact assessment process has failed to consider local health concerns and these cumulative impacts.
