This thesis explores links between climate change, environmental disasters, and weather events with mental health effects. In addition to a systematic review of the literature in this area, the author undertakes a qualitative analysis of a study exploring the first-hand experiences of members of the Yellow Quill First Nation and James Smith Cree Nation in Saskatchewan with flood recovery. The author concludes by offering recommendations for reducing environment-related mental health issues on First Nations reserves.
