Hydro dams adversely impact food production in neighbouring First Nations communities. In this thesis, the author documents Indigenous knowledge and strength-based solutions to address health impacts of hydro-electric dam projects on members of the O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation in Manitoba. Specifically, the author sharies stories about the cumulative impacts of hydro dam projects on community members and their local environment and highlights collective solutions to address these impacts.
