In this report, the authors calculate child poverty rates in Canada and disaggregate the statistics for three tiers of poverty: First Nations children, other Indigenous children and disadvantaged groups, and non-Indigenous, non-racialized and non-immigrant children. The report finds that status First Nations children (especially those living on reserve) experience the worst poverty, and makes recommendations for a poverty reduction plan for reserve communities.
